I know this probably aint a huge help, if you go to UKtvfood.co.uk, they used to have a section dedicated to online organic retailers from butchers to veggie suppliers.
    Hope this helps

  • Here's one:

Penrhiw Farm Organic Meat: Organic livestock farm rearing Aberdeen Angus beef and South Wales Mountain lamb sold locally via farmers' markets at Usk and Cardiff and a box scheme.

John and Celia Thomas, Penrhiw Farm, Trelewis, Treharris, Mid Glamorgan CF46 6TA. Tel 01443 412949. email: penrhiw.farm@virgin.net

They seem to rear their own and deal outside farmer's marketss, too. worth contacting, I'd say. Not sure what a 'box scheme' is - post orders?

    There's lucky!

Thanks both will contact them about the beef

Even at the farmers market in St Fagans there was no Organic Free Range chicken, I could order online, but would prefer to buy local if there is anything available. Anyone spotted any whilst shopping, that is dead rather than alive :D
  • be very wary about paying the extra for what you think may be organic ....... i know of some farmers in the vale selling with organic labels on one market stall and three stalls down selling exactly the same produce non organic.

The 'organic' checks arent as thick as customers would expect and there are ways to slip through the system and make an extra buck !!
