Paypal Question
Aussie
When you look at items on e-bay, most sellers have the little blue "p" "I except paypal " symbol.
Others also have a little shield beside it "paypal buyers protection program" symbol.
My question is... does the extra buyers protection hold any weight when people are choosing someone to buy off or is it nothing I really need to be a good seller?
Also if I should get it beside my name how do I go about it?
My feed back is not good at the moment because I haven't sold anything.

Hiya Aussie
The buyer protection is certainly something to look for as a buyer yes...it basically means you are protected for purchases up to £500 if anything goes wrong e.g. item never turns up.
To get buyer protection you need to have a minimum of 50 positive feedback (so you have a blue star) and a minimum of 98% positive feedback. You must also accept Paypal on all listings. Obviously as you are just starting out selling you won't have much feedback (or have you bought lots?). Anyway, once you get to 50 feedback you will get buyer protection, which will be useful to have.
JoshThe main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)0 -

Ah well everyone has to start somewhere don't they? The more you sell the quicker your feedback will grow. When I started out I bought some cheap stuff for like a quid on eBay and sold loads of cheap old stuff - gr8 way to build up feedback. Tbh I don't buy from sellers with less than 20 or so good feedback so building it up is important. The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)0

I have 2 things listed to sell at the moment, but no one will probably buy them because of my feed back!

I am now Palpal verified but I don't have the shield next to the 'P' yet. I thought it updated itself on eBay when your got verfied with paypal. Are u saying that I need to get 50 positive feedbacks in order for the shield to show ?0
