I thought I would just point out, as a lot of people have now gone to college, that these things exist. You usually have to qualify with various rules but it is well worth putting in an application as you can really get some help.
As a mature student /single parent last year I got bus fares paid, free meals and even a free trip to Alton Towers. Oh and a free sports bag and a memory stick. Oh, and they also paid for my son to be in nursery whilst I was studying.
Ask where your student services is and be a bit brave and ask them if you are eligable. I would have missed out on that lot if I had not been a tad cheeky.

Not totally sure if you are talking about the same thing. But in reply to your question you might want to ring the gas and elec people and ask them to estimate your usage and bill you by monthly direct debit at that amount.0
