Hey.
Anyone have any experience with First Telecom?
According to uswitch, I can save about £400 if I switch to their autodialler as I am on NTL at the moment.
How does this dialler work? Does it cost to dial? i.e. are NTL billing me for these re-routed calls, and then First Telecom bill me too?
Or does it dial a freephone number?
Any info appreciated.

First Telecom's Cable prices are here.
You could save money by using Call1899 and then getting an Orchid Dialler for around £15 (I think) and if you see this thread you can get 20% discount by ordering online.
If you are outside your minimum term then in the longrun it's cheaper to have a BT landline and get rid of your cable line. You can benefit from even cheaper (and in some cases free calls) if you have a BT landline.
Update:
Changed supplier from 18185 to 1899 because 1899 is cheapest for those unfortunate enough to use a cable line.0 -
Have a look at http://wakeup.to/cheapercablecalls for all your cheaper call options if you wish to stay with cable.(Warning some of the figures need updating)
The FT dialler dials a freephone access number, you pay NTL nowt .You just pay FT for all the calls you make through it.0 -
Thanks for the replies.
Is the dialer free from FT? ... I can't seem to find the answer on the website.0 -

The dialer is free but probaly returnable if you cease using them.
They charge
Calls within the UK peak off peak weekend
Local calls 1.6p 1p 0.8p
National Calls 1.6p 1p 0.8p
0845 calls 4.8p 2.1p 2p
0870 calls 9.2p 5.p 3.7p
Other suppliers usually can beat their prices . I assume you get Free Calls from NTL at weekends anyway.
Have you read this thread on how you might be able to get your overall NTL bill down.http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=626560
