Need radio-cassette player for car - honestly

My OH has a battered Renault Clio he is very attached to which he uses for running around town. It parks in small spaces and he doesn't worry about the odd scrape or two. However the car has now outlasted the radio-cassette player it came with. (The radio in fact still works fine it, is only the cassette player which has given up the ghost.) I think the winding mechanism has worn out.

He meanwhile has a large collection of compilation tapes he likes to play in the car. Can anyone suggest a radio-cassette player - stereo included - we could get to replace it?

You could try looking on eBay for one, you can pick them up on there for pennies as they are quite outdated now, however postage may be a little high side being the weight of it, so do look out for this.

Another place for you to look, is at a breakers yard, as they pull these out and throw them in a cupboard out the way.

If either do not turn up up, turn Charity shops and Gumtree, in your local area, which if you don't find one on there, you can post a FREE wanted ad :)

    Hope you find one soon

Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.

If I remember correctly the clio has a radio/cassette control on the steering column, so it would be best to replace the unit with a genuine clio replacement, quite a few on ebay.
