right i have a HP OmniBook xe3-gc Notebook PC and want to add ram and a few other things put i cannot get into the bios has it's got a password on it ,the normal back door passwords do not work eg admin, blank, ect, there is not a cmos battery on the motherboard too that i can find ,pulled it apart today..
is there any way of getting into the bios or is it like most sites say impossible on the HP OmniBook xe3-gc Notebook PC unless it go's to hp (costs money)

If you can prove ownership, HP should be able to talk you through the reset procedure, not sure whether this is chargeable or not.
The manual says dead cmos battery, replace motherboard:eek: , maybe it's soldered on?
Can you see anything like this?
