    You'll need to install Drivers for all of the hardware that contains a yellow question mark. When the mark disappears, the Driver installation is complete.

    Are your Windows Update up to date?

    the modem is also if (god forbid) you ever need to use dial-up broadband...better to install driver now while fresh in your mind than not - it don't do any harm :)
