returning to store, - what are my rights

Options
Ok now i know this may sound a little cheeky but,

I bought a lens for my camera last saturday, a bargain at £249 as this lens is usually £500+

Today it has gone down to £199 and even better super bargain.

I bought it from jessops, but cannot find any T&C's for store returns anywhere.

Do i have a right to take it back, then buy the same lens at the cheaper price.

Could i return the lens saying i recieved 2 as it was such a good price me and Df doubled up.

Then send someone else in to buy it back for me.

£50 is £50.

You have no right to but something tells me you already know that so why would we know?

You can try but you could end up losing a bargain lens (if they refund but dont re-sell) or more money (if you buy but they dont refund)
    Back by no demand whatsoever.

Correct, no right to a refund or exchange unless the goods are faulty or the shop explicitly advertises otherwise (and often even then they have a disclaimer stating 'subject to manager discretion').

So, by all means try but don't complain if you can't.

A lot of people confuse the right to return goods for a refund bought instore with the right to return goods bought online under the DSR. Unless the retailer has their own policy to give goodwill refunds then there is nothing you can do. As hudson has said, you could return the lens for a goodwill refund, and they might not resell it if they have a policy to wait for goods to be inspected for resale. By the time it's available for sale it could be sold to someone else or the price might revert to the original price.

If the price goes up in the future will you be giving them the extra money?
