  • Hi,

We have received this response from Namesco:

    "Hi,

My name is Michelle and I work at Namesco. Just wanted to clear up the questions that some people are asking! The offer is for Sitemaker for FREE and a .info domain for £1.

We recommend using the auto bill function so that there is no risk of disruption to your site but it is entirely up to you whether you opt for it or not. However, if you do choose to use auto bill you will ALWAYS get several communications and warnings that payment is due, we won’t just take it out of your account!

The SiteMaker product you are getting is for free so you will not get charged for that at any time.

    Thanks!

    Michelle"

Just re-read this. You have to keep the free SiteMaker software to qualify so my second transaction may get declined as I removed it :(

Why ? The £10 cashback is for ANY first purchase by a new customer, you are purchasing the .info domain and whether taken or not,the sitemaker is free,so removing this shouldn't nullify the cashback.
  • I'm just going by what Michelle has written. It says "The offer is for Sitemaker for FREE and a .info domain for £1" so you're not taking up the offer is you're removing the Sitemaker software so your order would get cancelled wouldn't it? Or you'll be charged £12.99 as the offer for £1 is with the software only?

Only time will tell I guess.

I believe that the offer Michelle is reffering to,is merely the £1 offer and not necessesarily the £10 cashback. The cashback offer wording clearly states £10 cashback for any first time purchase for a new customer and they are clearly offering for sale a .info domain for £1,regardless of whether you take up the free sitemaker and you are clearly making a first purchase for £1 as a new customer. But as you say, time will tell, let's hope that you are wrong in your caution lol.
No offence btw, just trying to reassure you and others, that this will turn out right.:)

They didn't explicitly say that web hosting is included in the offer.... only the domain and software.

I might be eating my words already. The transaction i did on tcb, yesterday, which tracked this morning @ £10 has now changed to £0 payable....not at all happy.I did remove the sitemaker from my basket, but don't know if that is why it's been rejected.Maybe it's because i copied/pasted the £1 offer link from FC and it's classed as a use of a voucher not on tcb ???
