What kind of quantity to how much soil would you use? Where do you buy them?

i have also been reading now about adding nitrogen. Would this be as well as blood fish&bone and compost?

Containers of chicken manure pellets can be bought in all good garden centres. The containers are about the size of a jumbo tin of Dulux paint and cost anything between £9 -£12 but they last for ages if kept airtight. I normally put a handful in each patio plant container, as well as sprinkling across my vegetable patch. I'm not too accurate in dosage though. I also put a small quantity in my pepper, chilli and aubergine pots when I transplant the seedlings into their final pots for the summer.
