Police Earn Their Keep!
Today I had a very satisfying experience. About to cross the road at a zebra crossing when a white van hurtled past failing to stop, driver with mobile phone firmly pressed to his right ear. He obviously hadn't noticed the unmarked police car on his tail with blue lights set in the grille flashing away. I watched them go down the road and it wasn't until the siren went that he slowed down and stopped. They were still there 'discussing' matters when I came back over the crossing again. I trust they threw the book at him. Great!

Great, all they now need to do is catch a burglar or two :-) How do you know they were police, I don't think anyone has seen one for years apart from on Motorways or outside No 10 :rotfl:0 -
I had srtarted to cross a Zebera Crossing this morning and this !!!!!! old Rover 25 flew around the corner and swerved to miss me. So I gave its back wing a good kick with my steel toe cap boots0

I see loads of people using there Mobile Phones, while driving and it appears to me that a lot of them now are women doing it!
Be sides this, I see people looking down on there lap texting away, not looking on the road.
They think it's just a petty offence that they won't get stopped for, but these days, there are a lot of un marked Police cars out there now!0 -
Also, a good point to note, is if you kill someone while using a mobile phone, you can be charged with Death by dangerous driving, which is a much more serious offence that carries a custody term.
Using a mobile phone while driving is not worth the risk, get a hands free kit or don't use it, not very hard to get to know that0 -

yes at least 50% of the people i see doing it are women:rotfl:
I would say in a week I see 3-4 people either talking on their mobile phone or texting, without looking on the road, quite crazy too.
I watched a program last night, told how some poor women's daughter was killed by another women who had sent over 20 texts just before killing another broken down driver, very heart breaking, specially when it can very easily be prevented!0
