Looking to Buy

OK me and my GF are looking to buy a place. Probably the start of next year jan-april.

We have gone to see about a mortgage and we can borrow upto 144K on 100% which is crazy!!!!

I am trying to run some figures with what we make per month and what the repayments would cost but not sure how much gas, electric, water, TV, (phone internet etc) council tax would cost us a month.

We make a combined of about £1800 a month and are looking at buying about 100-115K 1-2 bed flat/apartment.

What do you all think the cost of the other bills will be? do you think we will be able to afford to buy somewhere at 115K and still live with all the other bills or should be go cheaper so we can definatly afford to live?

I don't know if this will help but here goes, me and my Husband live in a one bedroom flat, brought for 93K we have recently sold for 110K, our monthly bills are along the lines of:
    Mortgage £680
    Council Tax - £90 Band A
Electricity - £40 (does increase in the winter months) we have economy 7 storage heaters and everything is electric we don't have gas.
Maintance (inc buildings insurance) - £35
    Phone/Internet - £35
    TV - £11
Water - I'm not sure to be honest we just pay the bills when they come in.
    Food - ALOT!

We live comfortably in our flat on joint salaries totally 3K hence why we are moving beacuse we can afford to. We had a little struggle to start with but it gets easier, the one thing I would say is nothing beats owning your own home but just be sensable about what you can afford and repay.
House purchase completed 6th December whole process took 4 months.

Hang in there everyone it is worth it
