Hi someone has told me that you can no longer sell raffle tickets with a discount for more i.e £1 for 1 £2.50 for a strip is that true?
Thanks0 -
Anyone wishing to raise a few quid for a charity or fund raising event could hold a race night with very little effort, without breaking the bank to get an event organised.
racenightcentre.co.uk has a wide range of dvds and information for running a great event and the best bit is that the dvds are available as part of a kit with inclusive leaflets and helpfull information for the first timer or you can buy just the dvd on its own.
dvds £10 - £15:money:
kits £12 - £100
all the dvds belong to you unlike most race night places that only hire the races out, or even worse take a % of your profits....0 -
I am interested in your references. Why everywhere an error?0

I've got a couple of things I think might be helpful for people in terms of websites and raffles.
If you can't afford a website then at the moment Local Cause are looking for charities to trial their product for free. They give you an online presence very cheap.
In terms of raffles there's also something called Raffle.it. They do online raffles for charities, and don't charge any fees. 80% of the profit goes to charity and they make it easy by providing all the prizes etc. Worth a look.

I've spent some time updating the links in Post 11, which had broken, thanks to U've been framed for letting me know.
Of course, if you're local to Bristol you should sign up for the weekly email from Voscur, and if you're not, you should see what's available from your own local voluntary support organisation: google CVS plus your area or town to find it!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Charity think tank NFP Synergy has a free 27 page report
'Gimme, Gimme, Gimme!' - A Guide to fundraising for small organisations - March 2011
This report was written to try and help organisations think about their fundraising with greater realism and to improve their chances of success. It is aimed at small organisations, those (however large) who are just starting to think about raising more voluntary income or anybody else who finds it useful.

Is anyone aware of a type of marketplace for businesses who can either offer or ask for goods or services at a certain price? I swear I've seen something like that but can't find the name for it...0
