Tips for e-bay

Hello people. This is my first trip to this board, but basically I want to make a little more money to pay bills so thought I'd give e-bay a go.
Now my last efforts on e-bay were to try to sell a new cashmere sweater from Timberland that I'd not worn, a French Connection shirt and a pair of Gucci and Oakley sunglasses.
I spent about £300 on the above and got about £20 back in the end. I actually made a loss on it since the Gucci glasses didnt sell and there was a high listing fee, and total fees eclipsed this.
So now, what do people think will sell? I'm going to give it another go and wanted to see whether its worth selling any of these?
£150 Next Vouchers - would I be able to sell for around £120 or not anywhere near that?
Gucci Watch ( present from an ex under 2 years ago and cost £600, so I'd be happy to sell that for about £400 - any chance?)
Gucci sunglasses (worn about 5 times since I bought them in 2003, but didnt sell last time)
CDs
DVDs
Air miles (this one could be tricky)
Playstation 2 games (I dont have one as it belonged to ex)
Any other suggestions as to what generally sells?

The Next vouchers- I would probably split them up into 3 £50 listings. You will get at least £135 back. Offer free postage as well, that would work in your favour.
Good luck!:smileyheaRachel xx0 -
Depends what your feedback is like - trying to sell designer items for not far off the retail price with low or poor feedback is virtually impossible.
What generall sells it so open ended as to be honest a fairly usless question
Dont price anything for less than the lowest price you are prepared to take for it - but saying that you have to be realistic - do an advanced search for compleated items as near to what you have and it will show you the prices they go for - I think you'll be diappointed with the prices Gucci watches are going for
If you just want to get rid of clutter and keep your fees low list for 99p and let it run0 -
Check on ebay what prices sellers are getting for dvd's and cd's idential to the ones you have. Then check Amazon - because sometimes you get a better price on Amazon especially if the item is in mint condition.
Good LuckRemember is nice to be important but more important to be nice0 -
The frustrating thing about trying to sell anything designer on eBay is that at least 90% of the stuff on there is counterfeit, which pushes down the prices of anything real accordingly, as people will assume your stuff is fake too. Do you happen to have any store receipts/packaging etc to identify it as the real mccoy? If I were you I'd over-emphasize how real your items are, and a bit of a background story about how much was paid for them, and that they're unwanted gifts might also help.0

It's the wrong time of year to sell sunglasses - not many are selling on eBay, and those that do usually make very low prices. It's a great time of year to buy sunglasses on eBay!
PS2 games will probably sell OK so long as you're not too greedy with your start prices.0 -
Another tip, if you sell vouchers you must send them out special delivery as normal or even recorded post does not cover them if they are lost en route.
Like others have said designer clothes do not always sell well unless it is a rare or unique item that sold out but is still wanted. A few years back I got hold of a whole load of brand new tagged Miss Sixty jeans with an RRP of £60, barely got a tenth of that, and the last few went at a loss at £2 a pair just to sell the things.
