Can budget hotels budge on price?

Hello,
im sorry if im doing this all wrong im new here.

basically im a student so dont have a huge amount of money so any savings or bargains, advice or help im extremely grateful for.

I am taking my boyfriend away for a night in november (fri- sat) to a holiday inn hotel, check in is at 2pm but i wont be checking in till at least 5pm is there a sneaky way i can i get a discount there? also i read on their website that if i can find the same thing listed cheaper else where across the same company then they will match the price, i have tried price comparission sites and i am totally lost.

its only £59 inc breakfast but thats a deal where i cant reorganise it once iv booked im committed. i just want to get my moneys worth and by checking in late i dont feel as though i am.

i have asked if its likely to be cheaper to book sooner rather than later and i didnt really get a response. Can i get a discount for cash rather than debit card?

should i just put up and shut up for the sake of a few quid?

Thank you, any tips and tricks greatfully recieved.

  • If price is that important forget Holiday Inn and go for a Travelodge.
I don't think they will budge the price for you.

maybe u can stay in bed and not have breakfast. then you might get your moneys worth
  • If you want cheap try local B&B's it will normally be cheaper and better than a normal travel lodge style room, if you just want cheap try https://www.hostelworld.com as they have hostels and hotels listed which are cheap and they have a quality rating with them (note its not my site but one i use)
  • i would hold out as holiday inn always has deals at £39 pounds so unless you are booking somewhere like central london then i would opt for there email news letters and holds out a lil longer...£59 is there everyday price so its nothing to get too excited about! hth
