A gesture of goodwill

The offer . Full refund of ppi plus interest on premium paid to date will be applied to reduce the balance of your loan and the part of the monthly payments made towards the payment protection ins premium will be offset against any arrears with any surplus funds returned to you the monthly payments due with be adjusted accordingly

a gesture of goowill made without prejudice with no liability and is confidential between both parties.

The way its worded confuses me .. Will the total offer clear my arrears and then go towards reducing the balance of my loan or will i get my arrears cleared and the balance paid back to me.. I ask this not in greed but should i get money paid into in my bank account it would serve a better purpose as it will allow me to pay off other debt . I have not disclosed info about the company or the offer as i am worried about the wording i.e confidential and in my search for advice worry about who may be reading . The monthly cost off my loan will reduce as i believe my arrears should be cleared and with as the wording goes (put your account into a position as if no ppi had ever been taken )that element of the loan cost would be gone. Hope someone can advise
