washington state ferries - you can get to bainbridge for around $7.
TO price a cruise you really need to know which level of accommodation you would want, which region of the world you want to go to, how long you want to be onboard, level of dress code expected, anytime dining or not etc....
then you can narrow it down a bit...
cruise and cheap don't really belong in the same sentence though.;)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

OK for a cheap cruises aim for under £50pppd door to door.
All the companies do them cheap its just relative to their own normal prices.
You are looking at the main US lines,Thomson, MSC and Costa to start with
P&O sometimes have relativly good prices.
Generaly you need to consider the follwing
You need off season so not during school holidays.
If flying you need cheap flights, so winter tends to be best.
relocation cruises with lots of sea days are usualy cheaper.
One way flights are often cheaper booked through the US.
Cruises can be cheaper booked through the US.
Booking in advance can sometime get the best fares for popular dates.
What's the budget?
examples
2 weeks caribbean including flights say around £850
Med £350-£400 per week
Transatlantics £500 for 2 weeks is a good target to aim for but not easy.
For an idea of the bargains over the last few years have a look at

It's getting very tough these days to book a cruise as using a US travel agent if you're not a US resident - most lines are barring this process now.;)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

As a confirmed cruiser I would not consider a "cheap" cruise - you will get what you pay for !0

Hello
There is a nice little deal here?PM me if you are interested. Works out at around £65 a day but you are cruising with a top top company.
We were going to go but we have other arrangements now.
Cruise the Canary Islands On Independence of the Seas. This Royal Caribbean mega ship departs from Southampton Port on the 19 October 2010 for a 10 night cruise. This no fly cruise from Royal Caribbean is taking in destinations such as Madeira, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Vigo. The £647 base price for this 10 night cruise is based on 2 people sharing a guaranteed inside cabin. If you add a 3rd or 4th person the cruise price will come down and make this Royal Caribbean cruise even more affordable. Outside cabins, Balcony cabins and suites are also available.
If your interested please PM.
This holiday is ABTA protected to.
