Funnily enough, today was the first time I ever tried to use vouchers when I hadn't bought the product (inspired by you all, lol) - and it was in my local Express at that.
The cashier would take them, but only if they sold the product in that store, rather than in Tesco in general (so, among others, I could use my Pampers voucher, but not the Ecover washing powder one as they only carry the Ecover in the bigger stores in this area).
