Tesco Express?

Options
Hi,
I use Tesco express stores quite a lot to get a few bits and bobs if i can't be bothered to go to big tesco's.
Was just wondering if anyone knows the coupon policy for tesco express stores, is it the same as other tesco stores or do they not take any at all?
Sorry to ask, i just don;t have the guts to ask in tesco express - i'm a wimp:rotfl:
Thanks
Elisa

  • Hello asile21  coupon policy varies from store to store but although I am an avid user of money off vouchers at my local Tescos, I do not use any at my local Tesco Express as I know they will not take any. Think it would be different if I bought the products but for pure money off shopping it is not allowed. Could be worth asking though at yours, they may be different depending on the level of competition nearby

I don't think most Tesco Express stores would take money-off coupons without buying the product, but do let us know if you get a positive answer as it may spur us on to ask again at our locals!

  • A month or so back, persuaded Armley to accept vouchers on the basis that the larger stores did, and asked the cashier nicely to see if the tills would accept it (which of course they did!)

I think this is the exception rather than the rule, and perhaps worth a polite question

I've never managed to get any vouchers accepted in Express stores, but if you can good luck

    Me neither.

I really wouldn't bother and would make the trip to a larger Tesco if you want to make some coupon savings.
  • Mine used to and now they don't
  • I asked my Tesco Express yesterday, they said yes of course you can use vouchers so I reconfirmed their answer by asking again but providing an example of Muller yougurts. The SA looked at me and the penny dropped and she said no of course not, you have to buy the item. Well it was worth asking.
