Printing Abroad

I looking at getting a large quantity of brochures printed. A friend tells me i am best getting the printed abroad to cut the cost, I believe Thailand is the best place although i am finding it very hard to find somewhere online...
Does anyone know of any really cheap printing firms over seas and has anyone got any info or advice on this? all help would be greatly appreciated.
