Successful Claim

I had two small loans with Welcome Finance in 2003/2004 and when this story broke about reclaiming PSI's etc, I believed I had no chance to reclaim. However, I decided I had nothing to lose and began the long and slow process of gathering together the information, writing letters and then finally complaining to the Financial Ombudsman.

About two months ago, I received a letter from the FOS stating that they were finding in my favour and that I would be receiving an offer from Welcome Finance. I was ecstatic at the news but thought it would be a few hundred pounds.

A cheque arrived today for £991.89 and I am beyond ecstatic. I am going to use the money to pay off some credit cards and I couldn't be happier. For anyone else still trying to claim etc, continue persisting as it will pay off but it has taken me over a year to go through the whole process. However, I can now say it was 100% worth it. One very happy woman :j
