Hi Folks,
Not sure if this is the right area, (mods please feel free to move it )
We are considering moving to Canada in 4-6 years time.
As a way of getting to now the area (Ontario) better we are thinking about buying a house over there to use for multiple extended holidays in a residential area....
Any advice welcome on how to buy from the UK.. ?
Do we need a Canadian bank account for bills etc ?
How does the system work there for prices ?? ie in Scotland its offers over - typically how much above/below the price do you bid ??
anything else at all ??
If we choose around Peterborough then I have a mate who can act as caretaker while we arent there.
Many thanks in advance

theres some free magazine on the freebies board called Emigrate ATM, we recieved it Sunday. I wouldnt buy it, but there was quite a bit of info on canada there
Also i recommend the Thorntree "long haul" section on the lonely planet webiste . Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

My brain is now in overload !!
Lots and lots of good info on those links.....worrying thing is the length of wait if you want to emigrate !! (possible 4 years+ !! )

If you want to move in 4-6 years, you'd better apply now... waiting times are absurd.0
