Recommend a driving instructor - cardiff area

Looking for driving instructor for my son. Can only find an old thread - any recent experiences of a good instructor in the Cardiff/Radyr area?

i learnt to drive with bumps driving school. i took a break from lessons and the guy who taught me on my return, mark, was particularly good. he has now set up an independant company - mini chequered flag http://www.minichequeredflagdriving.co.uk/index.html

i thoroughly enjoyed my driving lessons and even now, 2 years later,i can still hear mark's advice when i encounter tricky situations on the road

Dont bother with AA / BSM etc they rip you off, a small private company would be better. Mine was a traffic copper and did that on the side, great bloke learnt alot from his invaluable experience and i passed first time after 15 lessons with only 5 minors (3 of which were me being an idiot and stopping at every mini roundabout when you dont have to apparently)
