Disappearing File

I wonder if anyone has the answer to this one :- I use Microsoft works 9 and within this I have wrote a letter (which I update regularly) I keep this file within a Folder, the name of the file ends in wps It makes no difference if I keep this file on my Document page outside of a folder or in fact inside one. Every time I use a Registry Cleaner (I’ve used two brands) each time this file (only this file, not any of the others) I have is cleared from my documents and ends up in the recycle bin. I have re wrote the letter to see if it stops my problem, it doesn’t. Does anybody know a way of stopping this happening. :think:

Surely the obvious answer is, "Don't use those Registry Cleaners"!

You coyly didn't mention which were the two you used - but, anyway, cleaning the Registry is almost entirely a waste of time, and can be dangerous, as you have found out.

Registry cleaning is probably even of less use than is defragmenting hard disks, and doing it about once every six months is too frequent. I would be delighted to see any scientific evidence which shows that "registry cleaning" has any more than a minimal effect on any measure you like - CPU usage, disk activity, and so on.
