Question about PPI - Marbles

Hi Guys,

I I am looking to reclaim PPI from my old Marbles credit card account.
I got the card in Victoria Station in London where they were doing a big advertising thing. I didnt ask for the insurance and after a couple of months I rang them and asked if I could cancel it as I didnt want it. They refused point blank and said I needed it .

My problem is that Marbles has been sold to SAV finance now so Im not sure who to write to. Would it be SAV or the old owners? (not asure who they were)

I am about to cancel my account as the interest rate has gone up from 18.9% to 35.8% !

Many Thanks

Ash

    Hi Ash

It seems they pressurised you then.

I would still pursue the ones who set it up for you from the start and keep copies in case you need to resend, even though they may forward it on for you, and they should let you know if they do.

And you shoud be able to cancel at anytime as well.

Just complete the FOS questionnaires, and sent to whoever was responsible for setting this up for you, these are in replacement of the first template letter and issued by the financial ombudsman service (FOS).
As stated above, save a few completed copies in case you need to refer to it again, and this is also recommended by the FOS.

They have 8 weeks in full to respond, and sometimes they ask for more time, which is fine, good luck and please keep us posted.

The FOS questionnaire you will find on the link below, further down the page as stage one:
