I'm feeling positive today....despite the miserable weather.
This weekend (i'm working both jobs today so this will be my weekend plan of action) I'm going to:
*Crochet a baby blanket (friend just had a baby and cant afford a fancy present) and bake them either a cake or take over some tupperwear of a pasta bake or something they can microwave/freeze as its 1st time parents.
*chop up all my old clothes into squares and sell them as quilting fabric on ebay
*put all my old jewellery on ebay
*have a sort out of the loft ready for a boot sale (praying for the weather to clear up)
*make popcorn at home and bag it up to sneak to the cinema on sunday. I'm not paying their prices (we have passes so get in free and make the most of it by going every week - it was an annual pass paid for as a gift)
*shred all my old paperwork and bag it up to use as rabbit bedding (make the straw go a bit further)
*recycle all those birthday cards i've saved up into gift tags ready for birthdays/xmas (if they're decent enough I could even sell them at a craft fair)

Oh well, it's Friday 13th, I'm having a bad day so I walked down to the bakery and bought apple doughnuts for the whole office (luckily only 4 of us today)
I don't feel any better, just guilty, fat and broke!

Afternoon All :hello:
Welcome Crisispoint and good luck with the reclaiming
I've been SO lazy today :rotfl: A friend came round for coffee, I've read the papers on-line and surfed - that's it. Must get my !!! into gear now!
So today I have/will:- 20 mins on the CT
- Catch-up on the Archers
- read the papers on-line
- apply for more jobs (applied for 6 yesterday)
- meal from menu plan
- probably a NSD though I *ought* to go to the bank and prove to them that I still have a visa, and I could get my knitting needles if I do.....
Have a great (rest of the) day everybody :A0 -
I too have had a go today at sorting out the paperwork for a PPI claim on a paid off loan account.
Apparently, I paid almost £2000 in PPI on this one alone!
Its with Lloyds and they've had their wrists slapped so maybe I'll be successful without too much of a fight.
I've found the agreements for 2 others (also both now closed and paid off) so will see how this goes and then try the others (approx £900 and an unknown amount).0 -
yay..hopefully Rachelmk that will all be sorted what a stoke of luck to claim that back! good luck

Not a NSD...but only ought rubber gloves/arrigold for using with the bee hive and a sealed money box/tin...for all my 5ps and other change that suitable for saving and as its sealed so i cant dip into it.
My friend bought the coffee and cake as a treat as I am always feeding her cats when she's away so that was nice.
Didnt paint garden walls as it rained - boooo and my washing didnt dry properly grrrr
But do have my freshly pulled beetroot on the boil to accompany the mackrel caught at the weekend by another friend...must see if I have a horseradish in the freezer..yummy! (hopefully)
Currently watching Masterchef Austrailia on the Good Food Channel - they are in Hong Kong...where i was born and spent many years and this April the OH sorted of proposed! Its making me laugh! (keep contemplating getting ariel fixed so can cut cable and just have freeview but then we wont have these fun programmes to watch when we dont have a life as skint!)
feeling a bit lazy as havent really done much - did go to the gym this morning but I did avoid the kettle weights!been away for a while..need to get on financial track! debts.....Post Grad Student Loan, Northern Rock Loan, Egg CC, Halifax CC, A&L CC, A&L overdraftAllotment plot holder since Feb 2008 :j0 -

Evening all
Here's my list from today so far -- Had a low spend day instead of a NSD (got 8 of those already this month though):D
- Got my replacement credit card through (attempted fraud by mystery person ) and finally got back online to make an extra payment - thus sweeping aside temptation to just spend the money

- My home filing box was a bit battered and I was looking at buying a new one - then realised I had glue and could fix it. All fixed now at no cost
. Feeling really virtuous about this as well. - Dinner from stores
- Online banking done and all looking quite good so far
- Didn't buy any biscuits because I'll be making more Twinks' hob nobs later tonight :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: -life is good!
