    Mobile intel (R) 945 Chipset family seems to be my graphic caard. Is that powerful enough?

    It won't do hardware accelerated decoding of x264, assuming that's what you're trying to watch, but you should try coreavc anyway, it's a lot faster than any other decoder.

    Out of curiosity, Ive just been running a 720P and a 1080P MKV file with and without graphics card help
    No files running my cpu was dancing around 5%. 720P and 1080P with graphics help went to around 16% - hardly a massive jump
    720P without help went to around 24%
    1080P without help went to around 28% but seemed more erratic (jumping from 15% to around 39% for split seconds)

    I have a dual core 3Ghz processor. So going off this id say most modern computers could handle 720P, some would struggle with 1080P.
    I couldnt try an actual bluray as I dont have a player on my computer
