The oil was £2.39 in my local in North London so I drove to Netto to buy theirs for £1.89, it's only this price today and tomorrow.

How far are the stores apart, and did the 50p saving cost less than the fuel/wear n tear on the car?

I bought 10 bottles and I also bought the golden wonder crisps for 50p cheaper than Lidl, the stores are a 5 minute drive apart so yes it was well worth it

Decent price but I'm usually weary of Which? reviews as in some areas (electricals are a big one), then have a tendancy to be less than 100% impartial. Will try it for the price though.

Thank you for the link, though it goes to show that I'm not wrong. A "delicate oil that's ideal for everyday use" is remarkable only because it was put against oils that "tasted old and rancid" and had an "acidic feel".

But if you do want a "delicate oil that's ideal for everyday use", you can't argue with that price.
My taste buds were brought up on olive oil from an olive farm, so the Primadonna brand is a little bland for my taste.
They also have a 'premium' Italian olive oil in a 500ml bottle. Again, unremarkable to me.

Will try the Aldi brand on the strength of that article.

It's nice that you're able to join in group discussion with us peasants who didn't have access to olive farms when we were growing up.

I was in their branch in Cookstown, Co. Tyrone today and noticed an advert for this highly rated oil (that I think is brilliant) at an incredible £1.79 a bottle (that's £1 off the usual price) this Saturday for one day only - don't know if it's UK wide, but I'll try my local branch and if it's not on there, I'll go to Cookstown, buy a load and stash them in the garage.

This Lidl olive oil is very good (in my humble non-olive farm opinion) for us normal folk. Have used tons of the stuff and at the price you really cannot beat it!
