    It is possible... but unlikely...

We thought we were in a good position to have everything sorted weeks ago....but the lack of information or feedback has scuppered us..... we have no idea what else needs to be done (if anything).

We'll see what comments we get back on Monday and then go from there....I'm not prepared to keep dragging this out though.

The final message on this I think...

Last Friday I told my EA that there was a good chance we would choose not to proceed any further but would want to hear from my buyer/solicitors with their views on when we might be able to exchange.

I finally heard yesterday and it was not good news.

Apparently my buyers buyer has complained about the poor service of his solicitors (Cunningtons), who themselves have only just sent a final search to the local council (about 8 weeks after they should have done it). Apparently my buyers buyer was getting on the case yesterday and would call my EA today - my EA has heard nothing at all!

In the meantime my solicitor advised that she had not heard anything further from the JOKE that is called Stephensons. Therefore I have decided that we will not proceed on the sale or purchase and tomorrow I will be resigning from my job - lucky I do have a few leads (though not definate) so hopefully will not be out of work for long.

We may come back to this house buying business, they say time heals :D

Funny you should mention cunningtons, they are my buyers sol, not been that bad, but not that great either, very rude!

Sorry to hear you are having such a hard time at the moment, big hugs, I am stressed too, to the point of breaking point!

I made sure I picked a really good sol, but its eveyone elses, sol/estate agent thats a nightmare! I know we are all MSEs but just sometimes you get what you pay for, and its worth it for a good sol!
    Pawpurrs x ;)
