Online Currency Order Cancelled

Hi,
I bought some Bulgarian Lev at a really good rate today. The online provider took the money from my bank but later phoned up to say that they were cancelling the order as the rate used was an error. Where do I stand on this? I know that if a high street bureau de change advertises a rate they have to honour it.
Thanks in advance,
Brazmond

i would imagine as they have taken your money ie started the transaction they should honour it, check the t & c on the company website.0

Errors and Ommision Excepted, the order has been cancelled by the provider0

What makes you think that? Pretty sure this would fall under an invitation to treat just like any other advertised price.
Shops are actually obligated to do very little when it comes to selling THEIR property.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
We must be knid to new posters. OP, who is said company and our Honourable Marc will provide you with his wisdom and thoughts, as he ploughs through the trillions of pages on Google and gives you what you want straight to the horses mouth.
Alas, without said information, ou Marc will be unable to assits you on these shores.0 -
Correct, it's an 'Invitation to treat'. Therefore, unless they've send the money out to you already, they're within their rights to cancel. Sorry, but that's the law.0

I would have thought that as they have actually taken my money they can't call it an invitation to treat??0 -
Until they ship the goods or supply the service they've not really had sufficient opportunity to properly consider your order (to eliminate mistakes) and thus they are within their right to cancel it. As long as they return you to the position you were in before ordering then that is sufficient.
There's loads of posts on here, just do a search, they all say the same thing. Tough luck.
But by all means take it to court if you wish as the more cases judged that way the more concrete the rules (and their interpretation) will be.0 -
