Acceptability of Amex Platinum credit card

The Amex Plat'm CC is the best for cashback for large users. A past problem with Amex cards has been merchants do not like them 'cos of higher processing fees. Is this still a problem or are the Amex CCs as widely accepted as VISA and Mastercard? Experiences please

I have this card but wouldn't recommend it as your only cc, I've had it refused maybe three times in 20. Good for cashback but you'll need a backup for when it's refused.0

Yes still gets refused more than most cards however does seem to be a bit better than it used to be.0

had my AMEX for 3 yrs and use it for most things like supermarket shopping/petrol and where it cant be used i use my egg money card0
