Best wat to finance new car??
Comments

Well if anybody can prove to me that paying interest on a car is preferable to not paying interest, I will listen to your argument, until then, there really isn't anything to debate.
An easy and documented example is that of Peugeot boy. He got suckered in to buying a car on 0% finance believing he got a 'good deal'.
However the trade price on his car is probably £10K down on the purchase price some five months ago - simply because a weak car was being supported on the market by the manufacturer.
How was not paying interest a good deal in that case?
I really really dont understand why Peugeot Boy is so smug about his 0% finance deal when he gave £25.5K for quite possibly the worse depreciating car in its class. Yet i get called a mug?
Again you seem intent on criticising me for paying £1000 interest over the period of a loan, however doesnt see a problem with a £10K bath in five months? I know which i would rather have.0 -
Good, because you know you are talking a load of rubbish.
If you saw somebody throwing a £1000 down a drain, would you consider them a mug?
I would.
This is MSE, perhaps you are using the wrong forum.
Why arent you commenting on Peugeot Boys £10K loss?
He bought the worst depreciating car in its class at full list price. He has thrown £10K down the drain in 5 months, and will have lost a total of around £17K in three years minimum. Would you not consider him a mug?
Or as others have pointed out, is this in some way personal against me?0 -
You just continue to spout rubbish :rotfl:
Forget the 0%, the main point was cash was best because it actually meant that you had the money to be able to afford the car in the 1st place - not that you will appreciate this as much with not being in that "boat".
All the other drivel with nothing at all to do with the OP was your doing
But sure you took finance out on yours, and irrespective of what you say, you didnt have the cash to otherwise buy it, so you couldnt afford it without finance?0 -

Jesus you do talk some utter pish :rotfl:
What do you have against people that have been able to buy two cars costing over £25k without the need to be in net debt ? :rotfl:
You like to pick out bits of posts that you think supports your weak crusade and ignore the rest. Away and have a lie down son

I've had £50K cars in the recent past - and may well again soon. I've certainly nothing against Peugeot drivers in general.0 -

So why be derogatory about people in their choice of car ?
My last car had class leading residuals and this one doesn't but it ticked the boxes for what I wanted this time round. I wasn't going to buy a car that retained a higher value when it wasn't what I needed. Previous car retained 43% after 5 years. A 2nd car sold in the last year retained 51.5% after 3.5 years. But I don't let retained value dictate what I want to drive.
You continue to go on about me supposedly thinking I got a great deal with a 0% finance deal. I have never said this but you want to keep going on about it.
Everyone will have their own opinion on what is right and isn't but lowering yourself to using comments like 'Peugeot Boy' just makes you look immature.
You also want to believe that I needed finance to buy the car. I could pay the loan off twice over but why give up the chance of earning free interest? It's just a shame that my trade-in was high or I would have took £19,125 on the finance deal.0 -

I'm struggling to care any more to be honest.0
