Received goods that I didn't buy

Options
About two weeks ago I received two really expensive Aveda products and a Marks & Spencer product through the post. Along with Special Delivery p&p, this little lot would cost around £75

As I didn't order them, I looked for a return address but there wasn't one. The jiffy bag they arrived in was re-used but I couldn't read the old name and address because it had been scribbled over with a black marker pen and had a label stuck over the top with my name and address on. I tried to peel the label off carefully (so I could see if I could read the pen scoring underneath the black marker) but it just ripped the jiffy bag.

I have absolutely no idea where it came from, who sent it, where to return it - and so far, nobody has contacted me to arrange for me to send it back.

The slightly spooky thing is, the Aveda products are both for blonde hair - which I have, and the M&S product is for rosacea - which I also have.

Does anyone have any idea what my options are on this?

Have you entered any comps for this?

Spoken to any generous friends that may have decided to treat you?

Not sure if the post office can tell you from the tracking number who requested it. Unless it was a business.
  • Hi,

can you use Royal Mail Track and Trace, might not tell you who sent it, but maybe give you a clue where it came from.

Anyone who would be nice enough (or stalker enough) to order them for you?

Reusing jiffy bags sounds like an ebay purchase - does anyone in your family have an account?

Treat as unsolicited goods. Keep them safe and available for return (at the company's expense and effort) for six months. If no one claims them, they're yours.

Have you signed up for Beauty Bible testing? If not, could it be someone you have previously bought from on ebay?

    the customer site wont
however the OP can go into any RM delivery office and ask them to do an "audit trail" on the intranet
this will show all tracking points and should show where it was posted from
