Failed payment for TV

Hi,
I ordered a TV on an internet site back in mid November and after receiving it I got a series of e-mails as below;
1 - an e-mail saying thank you for your order, there was a problem in processing it but now we have sorted it, do not worry we have not charged you twice
2 - then an e-mail saying sorry, your order was not processed as they had got their online pricing wrong and so they had cancelled the order and I needed to go back to the site and replace the order
3 - then an e-mail saying a technical fault at the sites end meant payment could not be taken from me and as a result could I please send payment to a bank account listed. There were a couple of problems with this e-mail though. Where there was a field which should have said the amount of money I needed to send, this had an error message in it insted of a £ amount. Also, I am very wary to just send money to a bank account listed in an e-mail with errors in it.
I have never been charged for the tv even though it is nearly 9 months after I ordered it but just don't know what to do considering I have kind of been chased for payment.
Can I keep the TV? Do I need to send it back? Should I call the site and tell them the situation or is it there responsibility seeing as though it has been over 9 months?
Thank you for any help

I'd be reluctant to do (3) as well. I'd call them. You're on dodgy ground keeping something you've not paid for but it certainly doesn't need to be sent back. They'd probably then take the money and you'd be screwed!"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Thanks fluffnutter.
What do you mean when you say dodgy ground though? What action could the company take? e.g. will it effect my credit rating at all? Can they take me to court/send baliffs around?0 -
All they can do is ask nicely for payment then if you don't pay they can ask for the telly to be made available so they can pick it up from you. You can keep it until then. That's it you did not enter into a credit contract so no court and no bailiffs.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

If you've ordered it, they have up to 6 years to chase you for payment AFAIK.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
