River Island Jeans Sticky Label Removed Skin

I recently bought a pair of jeans from River Island, removed the label inside that said 'Remove Before Wear' but the sticky residue remained on the jeans. I wasn't aware of this until, in a pub, I realised my jeans were stuck to my bum. I parted the denim from my person but the strength of the adhesive was such that it took a few layers of skin with it and caused redness, rawness and bruising. Were it not for my Mum, a tub of E45 and a surgical compress I would not have been able to sit at all (it was still flippin painful even with all that).
I emailed River Island an hilarious email which detailed the incident and they replied to say I would 'receive some correspondence that (I) would be happy with'.
I got £15. It's by the by but in picking up the recorded delivery at the post depot I incurred a £50 parking fine for the 5 minutes I was in the post office. All in all a very unhappy bunny.
Surely if their garment caused me physical harm I should be given slightly more than £15?!!
My cheeks are currently healing but my pride is not.

I agree with KittyPryde, I would have expected a refund for the jeans and the £15 on top as an apology. I don't think they can be expected to pay for your fine, as annoying as it is- hopefully you can dispute that however.0

Did you wash the jeans before wearing? Have you washed them since? Are they still sticking? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
