Hi Guys,
Can you tell me what is eating my radishes? I think it might be mice but i just want someone to confirm. There are no small holes just big chunks missing from about half way up. I had them under netting with my brussells so can't be birds. I would love to upload a picture but have no idea how.....
Been having troubles with pests this year, all my brussel sprouts were destroyed by little grubs in their roots and one of my radishes too.
Any idea what these little grubs are and how I can get rid for next year?
Gayle

Slugs and snails have done this to mine. It's surprising how big a bite they can take out of things :-(Mortgage free Jan 2012

The grubs under the sprouts were probably cabbage root fly larvae. When they are a problem people usually put discs about 4 to 6 inches across from old carpet or similar around the stem at ground level when planting out the young plants. Just cut a small hole to fit the stem in the centre and a slit to the edge and it stops the fly laying the eggs at the roots.Hi Guys,
