Does anybody know a Transco Scotia or Southern Gas Networks gas pipe engineer in sussex who will do a private job?
i need my gas meter moving from what was once a garage and is now a sitting room to the wall out side.
i can't afford the outrageous price quoted by S.G.N.!!
i am happy to pay a "qualified" engineer what i get paid for two days work for him to do in one.

I think you will find it would be illegal as any work involving touching the service pipe to your property can only be done under license.I am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0

We are having the same problem. We are converting our cloakroom into a downstairs WC and have been quoted £785 to move the gas meter into the garage (just the other side of the same wall) We have decided this is just too much and are having a vanity unit put over it to box it in.0
