Does anybody know a Transco Scotia or Southern Gas Networks gas pipe engineer in sussex who will do a private job?

i need my gas meter moving from what was once a garage and is now a sitting room to the wall out side.
i can't afford the outrageous price quoted by S.G.N.!!

i am happy to pay a "qualified" engineer what i get paid for two days work for him to do in one.

    I think you will find it would be illegal as any work involving touching the service pipe to your property can only be done under license.

    We are having the same problem. We are converting our cloakroom into a downstairs WC and have been quoted £785 to move the gas meter into the garage (just the other side of the same wall) We have decided this is just too much and are having a vanity unit put over it to box it in.
