You are quite right, Flickering Ember, it isn't a freebie site as such, and I'd like to think that the many reviews I posted before I was a member were insightful... and that those since have been too. I genuinely wouldn't dream of e-Baying anything I got on Vine, though that does leave me in possession of a really useless Breville toastie maker and the world's fastest slow cooker.

Anyway, this month I got £15's worth of AA batteries (Amazon Basics). It will be interesting to see how they perform up against Kodak from the poundshop and Duracell as they fall between the two in price, though are nearer Duracell.

I nearly got the batteries but instead went for the tea and also decided to get a guide book as I am planning on visiting the place it's for anyway. If you look on the forums on vine, people go on about getting something to give to someone for their birthday etc...Vine is not a gift service and one of the rules is that you do not give anything away to other people. If you have any useless items, Amazon's official line is that after 6 months, you are free to bin them. :)

You get invited by Amazon based on having bought items from them and reviewed them. I've been a member for 4 years now.

Todays been a good day for me!

    1. Got a birthday money off coupon in post from AlproSoya.
    2. Saved on my train tickets by buying in advance and splitting the tickets (i.e. changing trains with close to no connection time).
    3. Saved big in tesco by using fairy money off coupons.

Good day in all for me! yarrr

I've also reviewed items on Amazon that I've got elsewhere, as well as my Amazon purchases. After all, Amazon stand to benefit from the reviews. Sometimes they have been purchased elsewhere as I wanted them there and then, rather than waiting.

I rarely post negative reviews, I would much rather tell people about a good product than a bad one although I try and be as objective as possible. Many of my reviews are for academic books, not many people review these.
It can be quite frustrating to want to buy something and not have someone else's opinions to guide you, well, I think so. I've also reviewed books that have been on my bookshelves for years, when I discovered they were still in print. I've also reviewed books I've got from the library. It's lovely to share my enthusiasm for favourites.

Those Fairy coupons were useful, weren't they?!

I got £3 in luncheon vouchers from a survey. This is going to sound stupid but where can I spend these vouchers?
