On several occasions I haven't been able to get freeview through my set top box, the message on the screen is 'no signal'. Does it mean the box is faulty? Or is the reception bad?

Probably poor reception - only way to be sure would be be to try another box (that you know to be working)0

Have you checked that your aerial is OK?That gum you like is coming back in style.0

I get this when the weather is bad, but my transmitter is 50 miles away over open water! So that may explain something :$Friendly greeting!0

50 miles over open water should be a good signal. If your aerial has been up for years, chances are the connections at the antenna end are corroded and the co-ax cable is well shot.0 -
My box does that occasionally, though not all channels are affected. Switching the box off and on again always fixes it.hardpressed wrote: »On several occasions I haven't been able to get freeview through my set top box, the message on the screen is 'no signal'.
