Freeview problem no signal

On several occasions I haven't been able to get freeview through my set top box, the message on the screen is 'no signal'. Does it mean the box is faulty? Or is the reception bad?

Probably poor reception - only way to be sure would be be to try another box (that you know to be working)0

I get this when the weather is bad, but my transmitter is 50 miles away over open water! So that may explain something :$Friendly greeting!0

50 miles over open water should be a good signal. If your aerial has been up for years, chances are the connections at the antenna end are corroded and the co-ax cable is well shot.0 -
