Balance Transfer bigger than Credit Limit
Comments

The biggest worry to me would be that by going over your credit limit they may automatically cancel your 0% introductory rate.
Sounds like admin error on the part of Creation.
Posts 2-6 assumed that the balance transfer hadn't yet happened, or it had happened up to your credit limit. I.e. it was assumed that Creation had done things sensibly!0 -

Removing the 0% element due to the 'breach' is one possibility but to really take the pi$$ they may then add £12 per month over-limit fees.
Remind me to stay well clear of Creation....if they ever decided to take me as a customer that is :rotfl:Natwest gold..Limit £1750 bal £970..Vanquis Limit £3000 bal £0..Littlewoods..Limit £1200 bal 0..Additions direct..Limit £4900 bal £1356..Empire Limit £6200 bal £152..Jd williams..Limit £1100 bal £130..Simplybe..Limit £1500 bal 265,,Fashion world..Limit £1400 bal £145 Jacamo..Limit£125 bal 0

After almost 2 weeks, and 2 complaints, I have finally had a call from the complaints dept at Creation.
They are deeply sorry, have no idea how this happened, and upped my credit limit the the Balance Transfer amount. All charges have been take off my account and I have 15 months 0%.
My worry is that the initial 2 muppets I spoke to were adamant I was at fault and that it was all done above board.
We shall wait and see!!0 -

Excellent!
I suppose in a sense that's a "good fault" to know about, as although it can cause hassle getting it sorted it's a pretty good way to bag a balance transfer for however much you want irrespective of how much of a limit feel comfortable giving you.
Short term pain, long term gain as they say.
Glad you got it sorted, but ensure to sign up for their online account servicing so that you can keep an eye on the account and make sure they've done what they say they had :beer:Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Wow, that was some stuff-up!! Still, you now have 0% interest for 15 months for the whole amount. There may be people out there hoping for the same level of incompetence when they want a 0% BT.
Glad you got it sorted.
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
Good resolution by Creation, I say.
Shame it took so long and caused such stress, but good to see them coming good in the end.
Might be worth getting them to confirm what they have told the credit reference agencies about this whole thing. Don't want it coming up that you had gone over your limit or had missed a payment, etc.0 -
Damn, wish they'd done this with my application, I would have happily gone through 2 weeks on chasing for the end result of uping the BT amount so I could BT my whole lot!
Glad you got it sorted.0
