Dexter cattle

Hi we breed rare breed sheep and want to go in to cattle so are looking for a breeder of dexter cattle any one on here heard of or know a breeder?.

Hi thanks for that most are the bigger breeders which go with higher prices ll I was hoping to find some one like me small scale but I have noticed a new shropshire breeder so thanks .
If your interested in meat I have the details of a rare breed pig breeder near me the meat is excellent and I think she may sell on line

Pretty sure that Northamptonshire has smaller farmers. Have bought meat at our local farmers market, just can't remember who from ... possibly from West Haddon

Thanks to be honest the dexter's I want would be kept for me and children to to look at lol when they are sold on that is where they would end up ie on the table but not ours .As with the sheep we have look at have not eaten one yet although we do eat our geese/bred for meat chickens .

HA HA I was driving around the back lanes about 3 miles from my home when I spotted Dexter cows in a field .I stopped and had a look 3 cows &4 calves I shall see if he wants to sell any on the doorstep couldn't be better .

We have a great rare breed butcher very close to us , they also breed dexter ( but not constant supply). not sure if they sell any breeding stock
