in Techie Stuff
hi, dropped a book on the laptop keyboard and some of the keys have come off! managed to press some back in,but a few are still loose. is there a knack to this or is it poss permanent damage?
any body had a similar exp?

Yes, had a 'shift' key give up the ghost. Bought a replacement keyboard off eBay.0

I'd be more worried about the condition of he hardware inside your laptop than the keyboard. the hardware can be really beaten up on the lightest of falls.
Replacement keyboards can usually be bought if needing replace try the likes of ebay and dealers of your laptop, some techincal knowledge of laptop will be required to fit it your self.Scottish proverb - "Never drink whisky with water and never drink water without whisky"0 -
i find a hard press normally helps. but can soemtimes break the little springs on the underside.
