Windows Office

Options
Hello, I was wondering if someone could possibly help me here, my husband is in the RAF and he had heard a while back of someone saying you could possibly get a windows office package at a reduced rate? Does anyone know anything about that and how we go about it? My husband is currently studying for a degree through work and this would be really helpful for our laptop. Thank you

You could get the Office package for 27 pounds on the internal intranet at work. it is available to all military and civil servants, his G6/J6 section should be able to advise him.

That said I understand the DII enterprise agreement was possibly under review so he needs to get in quick.

The NHS had a similiar arrangement. However they've been unable to sucesfully renegotiate the enterprise agreement so, strictly speaking :-), everyone who had bought it should have uninstalled & stopped using the software
  • Thanks guys I'll ask him to check it out :)

The original thread is here allowing MoD employees to purchase it for £8.95. Have just checked on DII and the offer still seems to be on.

I used to have the website address. I'll have a dig around to see if I can find it.

It won't work from home because it is on the .r.mil.uk domain which is internal to MOD.

You need to access it from an MoD machine that sits on the RLI on one of the internal networks be it DII, Land, station intranets, Navynet, Ash etc.
