    Hi everyone,

Hope everyone is having a good morning.

Good luck at the hairdresser, Claire - you will be lovely.

Pooky - get to the doctor again!

Louise - I had bad dreams about hubby the night before last and it put me in a really low mood all day, isn't it funny how our dreams can affect us? Hope Grandad is all okay again.

LMC - I just saw the Cat Deeley advert last night for the first time - it made me giggle! (And swish my hair :o)

Ames - I hope it all goes well today with your tests

Billie - happy birthday for yesterday (sorry it's late :o)

Sally - yay for DD coming back! My Mum was here at the weekend and I miss her so much already :(

Bunny - I have been getting back into my walking too - I love it! Have been taking my camera with me too for practise for the comp

Buffy - thanks for starting the thread!

Luc - think I've well and truly got back on track at "the other place" - I think I might make myself a ticker too, yours is preeeeetty :p

Red - good luck with the spreadsheet (I don't envy you!)

As for me - still feeling a bit low, don't know what's up. But I am looking forward to the balloon fiesta this weekend and I am seeing friends tonight, so that will be nice. Can't remember if I said, but I got my gardening done last night so I was really pleased....checked this morning and nothing had kicked the bucket overnight so that's a definite plus.

That sounds like a plan Sal - can't even scan as someone else is using the scanner. Sure I have some 'research' or something I can do that isn't too taxing. The spreadsheet is too important to mess up with a fuzzy brain, or that's my excuse :D Good luck with the job hunting!

Jo, sorry you feel down. What are you growing in your garden?

Thanks Red. Last night I was pleased with what I got done. I cleared out 4 big pots / planters and I planted my 5 herb plants (2 basil, 1 rosemary, 1 thyme and 1 dill) and I also planted my lavender plant and my fuchsia. I still have to plant my begonia and my potatoes. I think it is starting to look better. I also want to buy some hardy lettuce types and in the flowerbed I plan to plant some winter pansies alternated with some bulbs so I will always have a bit of colour. Don’t know if it’ll work out or not :o. Thank you for asking – you have made me feel a wee bit brighter. :A

Dee - I just bung my gammon in the SC with a couple of bay leaves, some fresh sage, a good few grinds of pepper and a teaspoon of mustard powder......then I add water until it's about half way up the joint and shove the lid on.......6 hours on low and it's falling to bits. (don't forget to soak your gammon over night first though)...The resulting stock is fab for leek and potato soup or to use as I did the other evening as the rissotto stock (didn't need as much meat as the flavour was in the stock)

Sally - Have you booked a removal company or doing it yourself? Could you maybe put the move off until the next day?

That sounds lovely - herbs are great, and I would love a fuchsia!

Are you aiming for potatoes for Christmas dinner? :)

Oh get you! Fancy pants companion planting eh :D We're still waiting for pics....we need garden pics.

I've got my first ripe(ish) tomato, I keep lovingly stroking it...just wish all the others would hurry up.

Yup!! I am planning to have a Christmas party before M and I go home for the holidays and I would like my potatoes to be ready for that. They are Charlotte potatoes.

As for the fuchsia - my friend gave it to me unexpectedly on Sunday afternoon along with a begonia and 2 herb plants! She singlehandedly doubled my garden! :)

Hehe Pooky, we've had one ripe tomato so far. Got what looks like a few hundred others waiting to ripen!
