Worse still is, it's apparently some kind of messed up fetish - and he's actually sold some of these.

It gets even weirder. He's apparently had his listing removed by E-Bay and states these horrible socks will be washed to E-Bay standards. So he's either lying, or selling items that are not as described. Hopefully one of these two will get the items taken down again. Just when I thought E-Bay couldn't creep me out any more.

Check out the 'Well Worn Shoes' thread. It's an eye opener!
(By the way, is it just coincidence that your id is PopeSock.)

    The joke's on him-

    1) No one will buy them
    2) He's paying extra for buy it now option
    3) He's paying extra for having extra pictures
    4) He's paying extra for having his starting price > 99p

The man is about £3 out of pocket, that's justice enough for what he put me through

Yes, it's coincidence. It's a reference to an unrelated but equally horrifying story from the internet. This listing was actually going to be my entry into the Sci-Fi 'item no-one would buy on e-bay' competition but when I checked and found that people actually had bought it, that went out of the window.

EDIT: Actually, now I think about it, it's probably more horrifying than this. But only just.
    My mind's working overtime! :rotfl:

HORRIFYING EDIT: Well, if you really want to know... here it is but don't say I didn't warn you.

I always love the lines these sellers use 'honest ebay I will wash them so please don't remove my listings again' yeah right..I'm sure ebay will take note of that.

Someone probably will buy them! Its a gay fetish thing.

Womens "well worns" are even more popular

and as you can see from all the listing feedback (all the private ones), it must be quite a little earner!

Perhaps the most worrying is his 100% feedback and comments stating 'item exactly as described" :-)

This guy goes through a fair amount of womens clothes :-) I can not believe there are five bids on a pair of second hand knee length socks.

Perhaps it is time for a cull of the human race, there are some sick puppies out there.
