This looks like a great deal...but, I've had problems with Mc in the past, bot with the company and the software on the PC. One of the major virus's in the 90's got past it.
If it works for you then great, but it might be worth checking out reviews firstThe atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.0 -
Erm... They have been selling the security suite at this price for months.0

you can get the antivirus for 8.44 delivered - check out ukhotdeals

beware of the cheaper listings as they are adding VAT at the checkout- they do say so in their listings though.:kisses2:0 -

Sorry, couldn't find a thread on it and thought it was a bargain, but apparently not...
I'm still happy with my find though and hope it helps someone else out there. :T OGB - Queen of Bling baby...:A0 -
Thanks to op.
After spending time checking out the reviews, 7days, amazon and misco etc, I have just ordered a copy from one of the ebay sellers.
Although I didn't go with OP's suggestion, it was a timely reminder to stop dithering and to get some proper pc security.
I had the McAfee 2004 suite, and didn't have any problems. I have been 'managing' with freebies as recommended by MSER's, but although I haven't had any specific problems, I always worry that I have forgotton something, so hopefully having the entire 'suite' will settle my mind, and for under £10, I HOPE it is worth it.
I have problems with running some of the games, which USED to run fine...problems with the graphics card (?!) so maybe this will sort out the problem and get these playing again - fingers crossed
When I bought the 2004 version - from amazon I think - I got the whole box, but all the 2006 ones I read up on seem to send you only the disc, and all the manuals etc on cd....this is my only worry, but we will see.0 -
Can I just quickly add, if you have a friend or relative help you out with your PC when you are stuck it might be worth asking them what to install. Only reason I bring this up is I will help any of my friends and relatives out for free (well about a dozen cups of coffee and the odd ciggy) as long as they have Pc Cillin on. Its a real pain when you have to work on someone elses PC and are not familliar with the virus package.0

Why bother buying this when you can use AVG for FREE!!!! it's excellent many of my friends are in the ICT business and only use AVG (free updates for live) those who have their own shops who could rip people off buying the Nortons of this world don't and install AVG on their machine for them FOC, as they get less problems with this
You can get it FREE from https://www.download.com - use AVG with programs such as ad-aware SE (again LEGALLY FREE from the internet). - This apparenelty is a good pair to have!
I've used shop purchased antivirus in the past and had nothing but problems since going to AVG (complete re-build due to bugs) = NOTHING what so ever.....since using AVG AND the computer is fasterMe i'm always after a good deal.. :rotfl:0 -
May I suggest that if you use a free AV software, then use two products together, I use AVG and AVAST, both are mutually compatible, and over time each has detected nasties that the other has missed. This with a few spyware products and a firewall, should keep you safe, if you ensure the updates are being applied. If you are a high risk users (torrent downloader, or like to visit a variety of sites) then perphaps you need to do even more than this, but for the average user this should be fine.0

i'm a torrent downloader, and guess where I got my copy of Mcafee security suite from...a torrent.
