Disney Holiday in Flordia 2011- Any tips?

Hi

New to this so apologises if I have done this wrong but 13 of us (6 adults and 7 children) are travelling to Florida on 21st May 2011 with Virgin and are staying in Villas. Kids are all under 10. Have got hire cars from Virgin too. Would appreciate any tips as all of us are novices. Thanks :D

what sort of tips are you after??

i went in march for the first time and just winged it so to speak never really planned anything apart from going to the parks and kennedy.just played it by ear and decided what park to visit that day while having breakfast as it all depends on the weather aswell.

have a look at the orlando thread in this overseas holiday board you will find it at top of page, also check out this site http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/

my tip would have been to book it separately and haggle for the villa, also and will get shot down for this but dont spend more than a few days in orlando, do the parks and get out of there :)
  • Get free coupon books at walmart/kmart similar loads of 10/15% off restaurants.
Go top floor macys customer service, show you passport and get a card for around 10% off for being international visitor.
Also recommend crackerbarrel for breakfast, we normally eat in villa ( lucky charms and peanut butter and jelly on toast!!) but go crackerbarrel on way to busch gardens and prob at least 1 other time for cooked breakfast or pancakes.
Bring a waterproof fold up kagoul to go on the water rides, or a change of clothes and do them all in 1 go! This is easy at IOA as there are lockers and all the water rides are in 1 place.
Bring bottles of water and crisps/snacks into the park with you to keep down costs.
  • Thanks for the tips they are really good. Will def use them

  • Just got back and had booked my Busch Gardens tickets online , they had a deal for an extra 10 dollars 'All you can Eat' . It was really true and just worth it for the bottles of water and cokes .
