2 year old kitchen - doors going bubbly

Options
Hi All,

I moved into a brand new house 2 years ago and recently a few of the high gloss kitchen cupboards have started to bubble underneath. On the kitchen manufacturers website it states a 5 year warranty. Only thing is, is that I don't have any receipts / paperwork for the kitchen as the developer bought it - now gone bankrupt.

Do I have a good case to get replacements? I am thinking of writing to them with photos of the bubles

Thanks All

If you know who they are then by all means write to them and ask them to come and have a look at them, they should not be bubbling unless they have been misused in some way?

No harm in asking but you have no rights to expect them to come and do anything without proof of purchase (did you pay by CC to the bust company, if so that may be adequate)
The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

LOL, I chuckled myself at my noobie error!!! OP, write to the manufacturers and appeal to their better nature but if they say no you are stuffed without any proof or guarantees.

who was the developer ? id contact them i presume it was them that had the kitchen installed when you bought the house new, so therefore id think it would be the developer you should contact.

Don't think OP will get anywhere with that. rolleyes.gif

OP, I would contact the manufacture, if they didn't lose any money to the developer they may be willing to help. Has to be worth a try. Have you any paperwork for the house detailing the type of kitched and when the house was built? This may be enough proof for them.

I have got the kitchen companies brochure and in there is my kitchen as the developer gave it to me when I bought it (off plan) to show me how the kitchen units would look- i guess its worth a try.
