Overcharged for Postage Stamps

Options
Not sure if this is the right place to put this so please move if it is in the wrong place...

I have just popped into my local One Stop shop in our village to buy a book of Second Class stamps, plus a birthday card.

The girl behind the till was new and had been getting in a fluster with the customer before me,not sure what had gone wrong with that customer before I joined the queue.

Anyway,I gave her my Birthday card which came to £1.30 and then asked for a book of Second class stamps. She tapped the till buttons and then promptly said that will be £6.22p please.I thought it was a bit steep but wasn't sure of the exact price of the stamps so didn't query it as there was quiet a few people behind me.
Anyway,I gave her £6.50 and she gave me the change which I put into my purse and left the shop.

Back home I have looked on line and it appears she has charged me for a book of First class stamps.

Now I would like to ask you good folks, should I just accept that I have been overcharged for the stamps,or should I go back and let them know what has happened and ask for the correct change? As usual with the One Stop Shop I got no till receipt so can't really prove that I have been overcharged, but I think if they do this to every customer, then someone along the line is getting money from us customers that they could be keeping for themselves.I know it is only a matter of pence but I still have to work hard for my money...

Thanks for listening to my little rant...

If you'd popped back, instead of posting here, you'd have probably been remembered and reimbursed by now.

I used to work there as a manager, a few years back now, but we had to do daily invetory checks on the stamps and lottery cards. they'll know that you were given the wrong stamps as it'll be incorrect, so I'd either ring or go back to sort it out
