If the other party has gone bust, they could sell the debt (CCJ) as an asset. Although they would unlikely turn up as they may not know about the set aside.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

That is very interesting. The solicitors went bankrupt in 2009 as a company, with their owners also going bankrupt and everything repossesed including offices etc, so even if the court sent out letters instructing them to attend they would never get it surely? Would I just then go the hearing and get it thrown out or have to go through everything with the judge or whoever it is?
As for Lowell Portfolio, I can not find anyway of contacting them, no address or anything. I desperately want that default taken away as it was fraudulantly using my name, so any help in getting a contact for them would be great.0 -
It depends, if the debt was sold (it is an asset after all) the new owners may turn up in court.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

True, well I am posting everything off tomorrow so hopefully the original court agrees to set it aside for the time being. The t&c's also state that unite must give the deposit back at the end of tenancy no matter how it ends, which didnt happen. Can probably use that0
